Calculate the Margin of Error based on Sample Size and other factors.

This calculator will determine the margin of error (sampling error) when satisfaction levels (expressed as a percentage) are known or can be approximated for various sample sizes (completed interviews).

Two questions must be answered to determine the margin of error with this calculator:

  1. The percent who are satisfied. If you are unable estimate the percentage use 50%.
  2. The size of the sampled population that is desired. Remember, the smaller the sample size the larger the margin of error for a given percent satisfied.

For a discussion on this topic, please read our short paper on sample size and margins of error.

P - Enter the percent of your customer base you feel, or know, are satisfied %
